Car rental rates with Kibabu Cars start from USD 25 per day, depending on the vehicle type and rental period. The minimum rental period is two days. Please contact our team for the exact price of your preferred vehicle and travel dates.
What are the driver requirements in Zanzibar?
Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence that has been in use for at least one year. A Zanzibar driving permit is mandatory and costs USD 25. Kibabu Cars can assist you in arranging it.
Can you deliver the rental car to my hotel or Zanzibar Airport?
Yes. We deliver rental cars to Zanzibar Airport, Stone Town, hotels, villas and resorts across the island. Delivery and collection at Zanzibar Airport and in Stone Town are free. Delivery to coastal areas such as Nungwi, Kendwa, Paje and Jambiani costs an additional USD 20. Please share your exact location when booking
What is included in the Zanzibar car hire price?
The rental price includes comprehensive insurance, applicable taxes, standard roadside assistance, and unlimited kilometres within Zanzibar. Fuel, traffic fines, the Zanzibar driving permit, and optional extras are not included.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled vehicle collection time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before collection may result in the loss of any advance payment. In the event of a no-show, any advance payment is non-refundable.
